How to add a filter gallery

Hi, I’ve recently purchased the Resca theme and started working on the site. I seem to be having the same problem as Clesmalo in the previous post, but I cannot view any replies to the questions, even after entering my purchase code. The problem is that no galleries are shown in the dropdown of the widget. I’ve created a new post with the gallery catergory, but that didn’t work.
Any help would be great!
