Not Showing Logged In on Home Page

It’s not showing that users are logged in on the homepage. Doesn’t appear to be an issue for admins.

Here’s the problem:
User clicks the Login button and enters their credentials.
The login form “loads” and redirects to the homepage where it looks the same

The user clicks on any other page (not the home page) and the user is “magically” logged in.

1) Why is the homepage not showing that the user is logged in?
2) How do I fix this?

I’ve already tried redirecting the user to a different page after successful login, but this hasn’t worked either.

I haven’t added any plugins or modified backend code, so I’m not sure what caused this problem. I’ve also cleared the cache and re-published the homepage. Nothing seems to fix this issue.

Let me know how to fix this.
