Orders stuck in Pending status

Help! Just updated LearnPress to Version 4.1.6.9 Orders are processed properly through Paypal, but stay in “PENDING” status in LearnPress and are not communicating back to a “COMPLETED” status causing the Lessons stay locked. We have to manually update the order to “COMPLETE” in order for the lessons to Un-lock. This only happened after the update to 4.1.6.9

We enabled PayPal Express as you recommended and still have the same issue.
Orders remain stuck in “pending” status and do not go to “Complete” status.
Also, we do not use any third-party plug-ins such as “Paid Membership pro” or WooCommerce. Orders have always been processed directly between LearnPress and PayPal with complete success until we installed version 4.1.6.9

Also, in the LearnPress plug-in, under payment options/PayPal, “Enable PayPal Standard” is the only option.
In any case, PayPal Express did not resolve the problem.

The PayPal Order remains in “Pending” status, and not “Complete” status.
Updated to 4.1.6.9.3 as suggested.
The problem is still not resolved.

We updated to 4.1.6.9.3
We also tested PayPal Express
And we do not use any third-party software like WooCommerce, Membership Pro, etc.
We only added the email address to the box that says ” Enable PayPal Standard”
The issue is still not resolved. Orders remain in “pending” status not “complete” status, and lessons remain locked.
Please advise.
