Product Reviews Do Not Show Via Woocommerce Shortcode using Visual Composer

In the woocommerce store, I can see the star ratings just fine, and when I click on “quick view” the star ratings are there.
Yet when I pull products onto any other page (such as the home page) via shortcode (using visual composer) the star ratings look as if there are no reviews, and also the quickview does not show star ratings either.
I installed the theme again on a secondary test server and its the same on both sides.
Also the CSS for the star rating was a little off only showing 4.5 Grey stars. I adjusted it to show all 5 stars fully, but with or without this code adjustment the ratings do not show. I tried disabling plugins to see if there was a conflict, but this did nothing.
Any ideas?
