trouble creating page with no header, footer, or sidebar

I’m trying to create a page on my site that does not show any headers, footers, or the sidebar. I’ve tried a couple plugins and none of them are working. Right now I’m using the Fullwidth Page Templates plugin, but when I select the page template for full page with no header or footer, my header and footer still show up. My sidebar also displays and looks stretched.
Is there something in the Elearning WP theme that’s causing the pages to display incorrectly?
Do you recommend a different plugin for page templates with no header, footer, or sidebar?
