I have disactivated PMPro and the Learnpress PMPro plug ins – I don’t use memberships. This has solved the error message issue for me, but do I actually need the PMPro plug ins for Learnpress/Eduma to work?
Thank you – it works!
The PMPro error flashes up on each page then disappears.
I tried this and the search box is still there?!
Does that remove the maximise button too (to show/hide the class list)?
Can just the search box be removed? Or even the text and magnifying glass hidden?
Because of the PMPro error messages I’m finding it difficult to test!
Using Loco translate to change ‘hours’ to ‘h’ worked for me. Not ideal, but looks OK.
I synced everything and it is now working. Thanks
Please see other post where I have asked if there is a way to re-order lessons that is easier than drag and drop for long lists.
You couldn’t replicate my error adding one class, but try doing it with three or four at the same time.
The error did occur!
Again – where does the course progress widget take its date from?
That is not what I asked.
Please tell me where for EACH student Course Progress widget takes the START DATE from, so I can change it for new students.
I want the end of the course to be the same for every student.
Please read my email carefully.
If I set Duration in Edit/Course to zero in each course is disappears for that course and only displays the percentage complete.
If I set it to 40 weeks it shows 36 weeks left – so it takes the start date from somewhere. This date must be editable somehow?
It is a Learnpress Widget ‘Course Progress’ that shows percentage complete of a course, but it also shows Time Left on a course.
It takes the duration of course from Duration in Edit/Course
But where does it take the student’s start date on the course from?
That’s what I need to edit so I can control the appearance of how long they have left on the course.
For example – if the course always ends on a certain date, I need to adjust the student’s start date to make the Course Progress accurate.
Can I change in the Order of the student?
Where does the Course Progress widget take the date from? Customer order date?
That is not what I asked.
Where do I edit the start date of student as you suggested. Please be more clear. Show screenshot if possible.
Where can you change it? Please show me
That is not what I asked.
Where does the Course Progress widget get its start date from to begin its countdown.
Is it – from student order completion/enrolment?
Is it from course creation?
Can it be edited/reset?
Where does Course Progress take its start date from? Can this be edited in a user’s profile?
I have spent a long time moving all my video embeds from Media into posts. This is a terrible problem! Your customers need to know that what they embed is private unless someone purchases the course. I will have to do this for all my courses that are draft too, to keep the videos private.
I have left my National 5 Classical Studies course with the three different video embeds so you can see the issues: look at lessons 1.1, 1.2 & 1.3 please.
Also can you please can you add the error message “This content is protected, please login and enroll course to view this content!” to the translation file. I cannot change it using Loco Translate yet.
Or please change it in the master file to:
“This content is protected, please login and enrol on course to view this content!”
‘Enrol ON course’ is the correct way of writing it.
Your solution is WRONG – if the MEDIA box is used to embed a video it is always visible after latest update, even if not enrolled.
If the video is embedded in the post text then it is HIDDEN.
This is a big problem as I don’t want to have to edit every lesson that has video because you changed the way preview lessons work.
Look at my test site to see it, as I have had to password protect my other courses:
I have added video in three ways:
1. as embed in text of lesson
2. as Media but not specified as video
3. as Media but specified as Video
if not logged in:
I wish you would read my emails carefully as it takes a long time to resolve things with the time difference.
YES – they can’t see the lessons
BUT – they CAN see the videos even if not logged in
It worked yesterday, then the latest update broke the fix.
Please fix. This is getting very annoying.
The update today caused the same problem:
ALL lessons visible to not logged in visitors – all videos. Same message “Content of this item has blocked because the course has exceeded duration” but with ALL videos public.
Can you please fix this. I have had to make my courses PASSWORD PROTECTED again to keep them secure.
I must be able to trust your theme not to be visible all the time like this.
Not good at all.
So the lessons cannot be seen if not logged in and not enrolled on course – GREAT!
However you should go back to what Learnpress was like before – there is no good reason for the non-preview lessons to be clickable. It’s bad design.
Please make it so if not logged in and not enrolled on course only the Preview lesson links in curriculum are clickable.
I checked the page you showed me in the screenshot. Because it was set to ‘Content Drip enabled’ and ‘Preview lesson’ it showed the video AND the ‘you cannot see this lesson until you have completed’ the previous lesson message. This should not be like this.
So you have another problem – Content Drip does not hide the video in a Preview lesson, so you should hide the Content Drip message as it does not make sense to the customer. Not a major issue, but looks wrong.
No it is not working if you can see the video and not the lesson.
If you are not logged in you should not be able to see the video ever, unless I set it as a preview.
This change is a bad one – why would a potential client want to click through to a message saying ‘you are not enrolled’?
When I tested it last night I could click through and only see the ‘not logged in’ message. How can you see my video AND the message?
Great – the public cannot see the lesson videos now (there is a message saying ‘log in and enroll’).
There is still the problem that the lessons that are not set to PREVIEW can be clicked. They should be greyed out and not clickable.
Are you still working on this issue?
Thank you for solving the first part of the problem!
Great news. Hope you can fix it this week! ThanksMay 21, 2018 at 1:08 PM in reply to: All my courses have been made public after latest update #305063May 21, 2018 at 12:23 PM in reply to: All my courses have been made public after latest update #305043
I left one course without password so you can easily see the problem.
It is the same problem with lots of sites built with LearnPress.
Problem with update?May 21, 2018 at 12:20 PM in reply to: All my courses have been made public after latest update #305042
No – suddenly everything was visible after latest WordPress update.
I had to password protect to keep everything private.
Please fix.May 21, 2018 at 3:38 AM in reply to: All my courses have been made public after latest update #304876May 21, 2018 at 3:31 AM in reply to: All my courses have been made public after latest update #304875
“Content of this item has blocked because the course has exceeded duration” message appearing on 500+ sites using this theme. Has something been broken by the latest update?
Your reply misses my point.
When the user sees this the see an image and the text ‘coming soon’, but no information about what the course is about. Why would they come back to check when all the information they have is an image and ‘coming soon’?
That does not help prospective clients know WHAT is coming soon! Please consider changing this in the future as it will improve Eduma I think.
In the future I will not hide the button so please solve this problem.
Yes, but on the courses page there are no titles. Can this be corrected please.
Also, please look at the countdown timer – the numbers are too big.
