How to customize widgets in a child theme ?

  Hi.
  
  I’m a new user from France and I’ve a question about customization.
  I’m a developer and I installed a child theme of eLearningWP Theme.
  
  How I can customize the PHP code of the widgets ?
  I tryed to copy this files from the parent theme and edit them, but it’s seem that not working.
  
  Exemple with Top Instructors Widget :
  /inc/widgets/top-instructors/tpl/base.php
  /inc/widgets/top-instructors/tpl/base-v1.php
  /inc/widgets/top-instructors/tpl/base-v2.php
  
  Can I personalize the widgets in the child template ?
  Or I need to create my own widget ?
