miniorange Social login plugin not logging in students

I don’t know where I went wrong but the miniorange social plugin is not logging in students. If you click facebook it does a login dance but then it says you are logged in but then it doesn’t do anything. It doesn’t actually log anyone in. Or take a new student to the course they logged into.
Also, I’m not sure I even understand miniorange. Will I be able to see the emails of students? If not, that would be a sad day. I need to be collecting email addresses for my email list to keep in contact with students.
I would love for the buttons on courses that say “buy now” and “take this course” to be able to be directed to my shopify store, is that possible?
