Changing color of Course Carousel Background & html of Footer

Hello!
I have 2 quick questions regarding your awesome theme.
1. How/Where do I change the background color of the course carousel? I’ve attached a screenshot showing where I’m referring to.
2. For the copyright footer section, I’ve tried using various html markup like <br> and
but they both don’t work. It seems only works. Is this normal?
