Hi
I’m trying to adapt your plugin WP Hotel Booking to a single property website.
I am using Riverside theme, which includes your plugin. Tried with other different plugins but came back to this one as it is the best and fits the theme.
But it’s not easy.
So far I managed to configure for a single hotel with a single room. In fact it’s a house with 3 rooms for up to 8 person, adults or children. It works, as it’s all about how to name things (room became property, hide adults and children, quantity and a few other details) but I would need to shortcut the booking search results. Instead of listing the only one available, it should go straight to the checkout page.
How can I achieve this? Is it possible? I have some skills to edit the php files…As it works now, after searching available dates it lists the only option, and it has a button to add to cart or see the hotel/room details. Clicking on the Add to Cart does add it to the booking cart, but it remains on the listing. And you can click again and again the same button… There is no See Cart option, it’s strange. Clicking in the title (goes to the details) opens the page but there we have no links or buttons either to the checkout or to search for other dates.
Also, I’ve been searching for this plugin documentation and found nothing (so far). Maybe with shortcodes I could rebuild pages…
Can you help? or point me to solutions? or maybe not possible…

Dear contactovisual,
It seems that you didn’t config HB Room Cart and HB Search Room widget. Please try setup HB Room Cart and HB Search Room widget to the search result page.

Hi Thoa
I did review HB Room Cart and HB Search Room configuration, and they are correct.
What I would like to achieve is that, once a customer clicks on “Select This Room” button on the Hotel Booking Search listing, it should open the Checkout page, instead of remaining on the Hotel Booking Search page. I know the customer can click on the Book Now button on top of the page, but as I see it, once a room is selected, it should not remain available on the listing, in case there in no more of that room type.
I tested on your demo site, and is the same problem. You can go on and click the “Select This Room” button forever. There is no visual evidence of the booking just selected other than the “Added successfully” 3 seconds notification.
On a shopping site, there is the option to configure the site to open the cart or to show the items on the cart. If it opens the cart, the customer has the option to go back to shopping or to checkout. On this site, I would like to send the customer to the checkout page once he clicks on the “Select This Room” button. If he wants to add other rooms he would have a link or button to continue seraching for rooms.
Can this be done?
Thank you

Dear contactovisual,
Which is our demo site? Let’s check one of our demo which use WP Hotel Booking http://sailing.thimpress.com/
When click “Select This Room”, the room will be added to the cart in the sidebar. And there is “Checkout/ View Cart” button http://prntscr.com/jyxe7w
That’s why I said you check the cart and make sure you setup the HB Room Cart.
But if you want to redirect to Checkout page instead of adding to the cart, you will have to modify code of the plugin and it requires programming knowledge.
Yours Sincerely,

Hi Thoa
First off all, don’t feel like I am criticizing your plugin, which I’m not. It’s really good. I just would like to adapt it to a single property.
Single property (an apartment, for example) does not require rooms results listing, just check the calendar availability and jump to checkout. If the property owner does it work properly, the calendar does not even shows the days that are already booked, so the customer can only book the available days. No need to list room availability. I think you could easily offer that option in the plugin with little changes on your code.
One of the things I like the most, is that if a minimum nights is defined, the calendar for the “Departure day” is automatically set to X days after “Arrival day”. Nice.Because your plugin is that good, I am trying to find a compromise. If I can’t jump directly to checkout after selecting the days in the calendar, than at least do it on room select (I changed Room to Property).
I know I have to modify code, which I can do. Not a php guru but I think I know enough to understand and make little changes. Just need to know where. And you’re right, on the demo, the cart is visible on the sidebar. The problem is I did not want to use the sidebar and removed it… :) my problem. I will try with it.
But still (on the demo you mentioned) the button remains active, and you can go on and click on it… I would suggest make it inactive if there are no more rooms of that type, or replace it by an “Added to cart” or “this room type has no more rooms available”. Just a suggestion…Nelson / Contacto Visual

Added the sidebar with HP Widget Mini-cart and it will do. Just a few minor modifications on the templates (hide quantity, capacity), and few others, mostly changing text and titles to match the single property context.
Will do just fine.
As soon as it goes live, I will show the resulting site. :)Nelson / Contacto Visual
