Fildena 200, which contains sildenafil citrate, is a prescription medication for the treatment of erectile dysfunction. While it can be effective for many men, certain individuals should avoid taking Fildena or use it with caution due to potential health risks and interactions.
Individuals taking nitrates or nitric oxide donors for chest pain (angina) should not take Fildena. Combining Fildena with nitrates can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Nitrates are commonly found in medications such as nitroglycerin and are often prescribed for heart conditions.
People using alpha-blockers for conditions like high blood pressure or prostate problems should use Fildena with caution. Combining sildenafil with alpha-blockers can also lead to a drop in blood pressure.
Individuals with serious heart or cardiovascular conditions, such as recent heart attack, unstable angina, or severe heart failure, may be advised against using Fildena. The increased physical activity associated with sexual activity can pose risks for those with certain heart conditions.
Individuals with severe liver or kidney problems may need dosage adjustments or should avoid using Fildena altogether. It’s essential to inform your healthcare provider about any pre-existing liver or kidney conditions.
