Activation Of Theme stops / not writeable plugin folder

Even if i have all rules set up on server and FTP for 777 i get every time the same notice, that activation of theme can not continue to instal demo content, because the plugin folder is not writeable. But all other plugins i can instal in the same folder with no troubles! Where is then trouble?
Please help me with this case, i already lost 3 days of solving.
