Content Drip Not Working

The Content Drip really is not working properly on this site. I have tested with a customer login not just admin.
When it is set to release after a certain time period, it still shows the lesson.
When it is set to release sequentially it doesn’t seem to recognize that the past lesson has been completed.
I really need the time period function setup.
Please help me troubleshoot fixing it.
