Sorry, the topic is already resolved! If you like, you can read what problems I found with the Thim List Post just as information for further improvement of the widget, but I’m now using a Site Orgin widget already that does the trick for me. So no help is needed anymore, you can just mark this topic as solved.
Hey there,
I’m making a page that will show all blog posts in a certain category.
This page https://inevitablebliss.com/inspired-mind-snippets/ should show all blog posts in the category Inspired Mind Snippets.
However, I cannot find out how to display this nicely. I tried using the Thim List Post Widget, (the first three lists of posts on the page are made with this widget) but I find two problems:
– In the first two tries, the customer cannot see all posts, only the few that are displayed. I would like the customer to be able to navigate and see all posts. Just like with the “SiteOrigin Post Carousel – All posts” that’s on that page, and the “Thim Carousel Posts – inspired mind snippets (recent, layout 3, 4 visible)” al the way at the bottom of the page.
– The featured images are automatically cut into the right shape and size, but since I’m using text on those images, the text then gets unreadable. So a part of the text ‘falls off’. Is there a certain perfect size I should make all my featured images according to?A great other option seemed to be to use the widget ‘Thim carousel posts’. The last 5 tries on the page are made with that widget. But…
– The first two tries (that use the default layout) don’t even show anything else than the title of the carousel.
– The third try uses the layout 2, which doesn’t work with my website since my website’s background is white, and some text and arrows of this carousel are white too.
– The fourth is showing the (high resolution!) images in an unsharp way + it’s showing a description of the post which I don’t want to show.
– The fifth is pretty decent but the images are square and lots of text falls away + it’s showing a description of the post which I don’t want to show.I guess I actually like the “SITEORIGIN POST CAROUSEL – ALL POSTS” the best, but
– It’s showing the pictures cut off too (I guess I should find out the ideal size)
– It’s showing ALL posts, and I can’t choose to show only the posts from a certain category, which is crucial.
(I guess I should take this to the site origin forum, but not sure if I can ask their support since I didn’t buy their plugin, but just got it for free when buying Eduma and Learnpress)I would love to hear what your thoughts are!
Thank you!
