Editing wp-config.php file for a plugin

Dear Team,
I want to edit my wp-config.php file for a plugin called W3 total cache and every resource on the internet that I found suggests that I should use a FTP client. I tried using FileZilla and I cannot find my FTP credentials.My queries are as follows:
1.Can I edit wp-config.php without using FTP clients?
2.If yes, then how do I get FTP credentials for my site?Regards,
