Error with the Languages School demo

When using the Languages School template, the main page never loads. It becomes stuck on the loading gif. I have disabled preloading on the general customization screen, but then it only shows the header of the page. On the Google Dev Tools’ console i get tthe following error:
Uncaught ReferenceError: lpGlobalSettings is not defined
at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (global.js:1207)
at i (jquery.js:2)
at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery.js:2)
at Function.ready (jquery.js:2)
at HTMLDocument.K (jquery.js:2)It is of note that this only happens on the main page. I have tried opening other pages (e.g. the courses page), and it seems to work well.
