Events and Blog Posts seperated Pages

For my business it is vital that I can create two pages, one for workshops (events) and one for my blog posts. From past experience, I know that I can create a post and add an event option with the correct times, but when I implement the TimPress Event Element to a totally separate page (so that I can list all the workshops on one page), The created post with event option does not appear.
Therefore my question on how I can add events so that they display when I add the event Element to the Workshop page.
Secondly, the Posts for my workshops cannot be in the same post wall between my blog posts (which is currently the case). Can I make certain posts invisible to the blog page but still make them visible as an event on the workshop page?
The main goal here is to create two post pages, one for blog and one for workshops. Do you guys maybe have a different way to accomplish this? I am open for suggestions.
