Events not displaying in home page

  Hi!
  
  I am creating new events and they are not displaying on the home page. It is displaying already deleted events. And also, when I update an event I get this message:
  
  Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 114484 bytes) in /home/…/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1978.
  
  Can you tell me how to fix this?
