How To Start Emulator And Getting Error build.gradle’ line: 169

Hi, I just purchase Eduma Mobile App and trying to configure it and facing lots of issue
1. When trying to start android emulator by typing command “npm run android” I’m getting error
npm ERR! Missing script: “android”

I Tweek some script like added 2 line in pakage.jason
“android”: “react-native run-android”,
“ios”: “react-native run-ios”,

and now it’s trying to build app but here it com’s 2nd error
2. FAILURE: Build failed with an exception.

Build file ‘E:\App\Billi4You\android\app\build.gradle’ line: 169

* What went wrong:
A problem occurred evaluating project ‘:app’.
> Could not get unknown property ‘release’ for SigningConfig container of type org.gradle.api.internal.FactoryNamedDomainObjectContainer.

same error coming inside Android studio when I’m trying to build

Now Please help me to solve this issue..

Also Please update your documentation because it’s too short and hard to follow and it’s impossible for someone like me who don’t code.
