Link (url) to the registration page

Hi,
I want to change url to registration page. I use Thim:login widget and there is Registration link: account/?action=register. On page /account there is the same Registration page link. I want to change it, because I want to use BuddyPress Registration page. Can I change this url? I tried to add this function to my functions.php, but it doesn’t work:

add_filter( 'register_url', 'custom_register_url' );
function custom_register_url( $register_url )
{
    $register_url = get_permalink( $register_page_id = [REPLACE WITH YOUR PAGE ID HERE] );
    return $register_url;
}
/* end */

Perhaps function ‘register_url’ is wrong. Which file php is responsible for Thim: login widget? I want to modify them.
