Menus missing from home page, and no means of user registration

I’ve just built a new site locally (mostly following the instructions in the Nayyar Shaikh tutorial at https://youtu.be/AAdUu5GA78I) but have a couple of difficulties:
1) The header and footer are missing from my home page (they’re showing up on the other pages); is there a settting somewhere that I might have accidentally changed?
2) There doesn’t seem to be any means of registering as a new user. The login page is there but there’s no “Register” page, and the “Register” link on the login page doesn’t go anywhere.
Please can you help me to fix these?
Since I’m using Local by Flywheel, I’m able to provide a temporary live link to the site: 620a573260bb.ngrok.io
If this expires before you’re able to use it then please let me know and I’ll generate a new one.Thanks for your help.
