Remove search icon in menu

1] How do I remove the search icon in the menu? I am not sure yet if I want it visible, so would be great if you could share the custom css, and I’ll play around with it. Maybe show only on certain pages. So a code that allows me to only show the search icon on .postid-xxx for example?
2] Also, can I widen the search-range beyond only searching within courses for the search icon in the menubar?
