Removing author and date

Hello, as in the topic title I’d like to remove author and date in blog posts, I set to hide them in blog settings > meta tag and I was able to hide date in single page, but not, for example in lists and carousel, so I installed a plugin allowing to choose wich categories should have the date hidden and it works fine.
It remains the problem with author: why it’s still visible in all posts even if I set it to hidden in blog settings?
How can I remove the author from single posts?Thank you
