Revolution slider not working. Page templates not loading properly.

The ‘revolution’ slider fails entirely, will not show on home page. It will show in a post or within page content area, but not in header. Page template for ‘home page’ doesn’t have a header or the header doesn’t show. RTL support keeps turning on by itself, making the site read RTL in english.
WordPress 4.9.8, current. everything up to date with installed wp/plugins
