Selecting a Special Course Category on the Page

When I try to add the categories that I added to the Course Categories to a page, it only adds the main category. I need to create 3 or 4 subcategories under the main category, but I want to display each category on the page without its subcategories. For example, let’s say I have Category A, with subcategories A1, A2, A3, and further subcategories A1-1, A1-2, A2-1, A2-2, A3-1, A3-2, etc. I want to add Category A along with its subcategories on one page, and on a different page, I want to add just Category A1 or A1-1 without its subcategories. What can I do to achieve this?

I would like to give an example according to the category order below.

I should see the categories “High School” on the page I want, “Class 10” on the page I want, or “Class 10 Biology” on the page I want. In doing so, I need to be able to choose whether subcategories appear or not.
