Hi,
Great product so far. One small error to bring to your attention:
In the sidebar widget “HB Search rooms : Availability”
“Search your room” – this is not the correct English. It also limits the context to only “rooms”, and not (for example) villas on the location, or cabanas.
The phrase “search your room” means to search *within* your room, as in “I will search your room to find your wallet”.
The phrase should be “Search for a room” or “Search for your room” or “Search for rooms”. Better yet, which covers all options, including non-room descriptions, simply…
“Check availability”
This last option will keep all people happy.
In the meanwhile, before you might be able to correct this, which plugin file is this defined within please, within the WP Hotel Booking plugin?
Best wishes
Duncan

Hi Thoa,
Thanks for this. I’m glad the wording suggestion helps.
Unfortunately, the “Title” field as shown in your screenshot does not change the required field. It changes the title above the one in questions. Please see 2 screenshots below. I need to change the “Search your room” text, please. The red arrows show what happens with the field you showed in your screenshot. The blue arrow shows the text I need to edit please.
Also – on the Cart page – the “quantity” field text box is unnecessarily large (realistically this text box is never going to need to accommodate more than 3 numbers). You might want to reduce the space allocated to this textbox, and also to show white-space around the characters, for better layout and easier reading.
To have attached a screenshot of how the cart currently displays, with the words and number characters all touching each other, making it hard for the eye to read them.
I have also attached a suggested layout, with whitespace around each field, which makes it pleasant and easy to read (and hence customers are more likely to buy).
Also I would suggest the alignment of the fields with the top of the featured image, as well as the title line (eg “Product”) and data line (the name of each product) should be closer together as shown, so the reader intuitively understands what field relates to which title.
I this way, the reader does not need to think too hard to understand the information.
I offer this for improvement, not as criticism. I hope you can understand and can improve your already good product even more.
Thanks
Duncan

Hi DuncanE,
It’s just an option in the widget so it will be always there and will be not lost when update.

Hi DuncanE,
1. Search your room: Sorry, my mistake. You can edit the text by using a plugin such as Loco Translate plugin.
2. For another your feedback:
According to your attachments, I see that you’re using WooCommerce system for booking. The default layout of WooCommerce will display like that. If you want to better, eye catching, you have to customize the template. Not only WooCommerce but WP Hotel Booking just provide the basic layout. When using the plugins with any themes, you will have to custom style to match with the theme style.

Hi,
Thanks. Keeping in mind what I said originally – that the text “Search your room” is not correct English – I just thought you might like to know, so you can improve the plugin for the future. The better the free version looks, the more likely users are going to think “these people create great looking products, I will buy the premium version” ;)
I have tried the Loco Translate plugin and it does not change the text – I do not know why. Can you please tell me the plugin file I need to edit to simply change this text please? Then I can simply edit that manually and FTP upload it.
Thanks

Hi Thoa,
I’ve been away for a few weeks – I tried and retried that Loco Translate plugin and it did not change anything. The same incorrect English “Search your room” text still shows. I have followed the instructions on how to use this plugin but it will not translate the incorrect text.Could you please tell me simply where this text is defined, and in which plugin file, so I can manually edit this and FTP upload the corrected file?
Many thanks

Please see this screenshot:
https://screenshots.firefox.com/RHZ6tcV5AE4J8Z7O/gitedordogne.co.ukI am not trying to change the “Title” as controlled by the widget. I am trying to change the text below that “Search your room”, which is not applicable to me and not correct English.
Can you please tell me where in the plugin code I can edit this text, because the Loco Translate plugin is not changing this text on the front end. I have used the loco plugin 100% correctly and it is not working hence I am trying to find an alternative method to edit this incorrect text, by manually editing the plugin and re-uploading it via FTP. Please tell me which plugin file to edit.
Alternatively can you please now update the public plugin to have correct and applicable language text, in this same location, for everyone, such as “Check availability” please?
Thank you

Hi DuncanE,
It should be translated in the plugin. Give me your site login info to take a look at your translation.

HI,
Thanks you for your kind offer. How can I do that securely?
Meanwhile, would it not make more sense to correct what is bad English within the plugin anyway? To make that “Search your room” (bad English) to be “Check availability” ?

Hi DuncanE,
Using Access Info or Private Reply to provide the info.
But we will update the text in the next plugin version released this week.
