SIte structure gone after loading the latest update for the theme

Well the adventure continues, after going to the dashboard and following the instructions to update the theme to the latest version my website is all a mess. Can’t see header, menus, toolbar, just some of the home page elements scrambled in a page. What a nightmare!! One will think that it would be as easier as using a WordPress.com theme, it took me around 20 minutes to get ready and this one, even do it’s a little more complex, I have used many hours and still nothing.
