Hello,
When students sign up for my course, I want them to be able to create an account. Right now, when I go in an incognito browser to see what a student would see (see attached screenshots), I click enroll…then it asks me to log into the course…I click to create a new account…then it takes me to a page that says I can’t enroll at this time. All I want is for students to easily create a login so that they can pay for the class and sign in and out of the course as they please.
What I’ve tried to do to solve the problem:
1. I downloaded BuddyPress Integrated, the LearnPress add on. However, I don’t see any backend for it. It didn’t seem to do anything to help the login process.
2. At the recommendation of other forums, I checked the “anyone can register” box in the WP settings and tested it out. It allowed the account I created to see a little bit of the backend of my site, which seemed off.Additional information about my site:
I have a website that is not just focused on education. My website sells medical products and will have a separate landing page you can click to that allows you to pay for a course. I have not yet set up the actual course, it’s only test information so far as I get the hang of LearnPress. I also don’t have the payment feature set up yet because I am trying to test the login situation first. Here is a link to the test course I created: http://sheehan-medical.com/wp/courses/cardiology/
Thanks,

Dear gabigoyette,
Sorry for the delay.
With this issue, I need access to your wp-admin to check. Can you give me your wp-admin, using access information?
Best regards,

Dear gabigoyette,
For your issues:
1. If you want to use LearnPress – BuddyPress Integration add-on you have to install and activate both BuddyPress plugin. Please check it.
2. I checked your site and see you haven’t enable this option (http://prntscr.com/ii6b77).
I enabled it and your site is Ok now. Check it out plz.

Hi Huyen,
Please see my attached photo. I created a fake account to see what the backend of the account would be like. The backend does not show anything related to a curriculum. It doesn’t look like it’s an account for a student to complete a curriculum they just enrolled in. I’m confused by the backend, it looks like it allows users to edit the site or at least see details about what the administrator has been editing. This is not the solution I was looking for.
Is there another solution that just allows someone to create a username to login to complete a curriculum. Like Lynda.com or any other online curriculum service.
Thanks,

Hi Huyen,
You enabled the BuddyPress Integration add on, so I went ahead and tested what it was like to enroll in my curriculum and set up an account. Let me first start by explaining what I want…
I want someone to be able to go to this link for the curriculum http://sheehan-medical.com/wp/courses/cardiology/, enroll in the course, and create an account that they can log in and out of so that their progress is saved. After their account is set up, they should be able to log into their account and easily select to start their course.
The issue that I’m running into now is when someone logs into the account they created, there is not a user-friendly interface to just be able to click to begin the course. When they log into their account, you can see updates on what on the website has recently been edited and some promotions that WordPress is running about their news and updates for people that are building websites. I reattached the screenshot again so you can see what someone who creates an account can see. There is nothing to click on regarding the curriculum. It seems like when the account is created, it’s creating an account for the website itself (Sheehan-Medical.com) rather than to enroll in a course.
All I want is for students to enroll in the course, create a username and password, and login at their leisure to take the course.
Additionally, is there a customer service line I could call to get this issue resolved quicker?
Thanks,
