Translation of Assignments plugin to Spanish

Hello. I’ve just purchased the Assignments plugin, and saw it doesn’t have way to translate it from within WordPress.
I translated LearnPress for ES-UY (https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/wp-plugins/learnpress/stable/es-uy/default/). How can I do the same for the Assignments plugin, and not lose changes on the next update?
