update failures since change to https from http

Each time I do an update I get a failed response and a temporary down for maintenance notice in wordpress and website. All this has only been happening since I recently changed my url to secure: that is from http to https://tikimoonvillas.com . Does that have anything to do with the failed attempt notice for thimpress updates?
