Attention Eduma Users!
As part of our ongoing commitment to providing the fastest, most stable, and modern website-building experience, we are announcing an important update regarding our demo data importers.
Effective May 1, 2026, Eduma will officially discontinue support for importing demo data using WPBakery and SiteOrigin page builders. Moving forward, the Elementor Data Importer will be the exclusive, fully-supported method for all new demo imports.
Why are we making this change?
To ensure the highest quality and most seamless experience for our users, we are dedicating 100% of our development resources to Elementor.
Elementor has proven to be the most robust and user-friendly platform for building educational websites with Eduma.
Because our WPBakery and SiteOrigin demos have not been updated with our latest design trends and features, importing them may result in inconsistencies or unexpected layout issues.
By retiring these older import options, we ensure that every new Eduma user gets the flawless, fully optimized starting point they deserve.
(Note: The previous PHP snippets using thim-importer-demo-vc and thim-importer-demo-so to force-enable these importers are no longer supported and should be removed from your functions.php file if you are setting up a new site).
For Existing WPBakery & SiteOrigin Users
If you have already installed Eduma and successfully imported your site using WPBakery or SiteOrigin before May 1, 2026, please don’t worry! * Your site will not break.
The core code supporting WPBakery and SiteOrigin remains fully intact within the Eduma theme.
Your live website will continue to function completely normally.
You will still receive support.
If you encounter any theme-related bugs or issues on your existing WPBakery/SiteOrigin site, our dedicated support team remains fully committed to assisting you.
For New Users & New Installations
If you are building a new website or resetting your current one, please use the default Elementor Data Importer found under Eduma > Import Demo in your WordPress dashboard.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this transition, please don’t hesitate to open a ticket with our support team. We are always here to help!
