No separate account is needed. The add-on uses existing WordPress and LearnPress user accounts and permissions automatically.

What messaging transports are supported?

The add-on supports WP Polling (works out-of-the-box on standard hosting) and Pusher Channels (for instant WebSocket messaging on high-traffic sites).

Can instructors moderate chat rooms and handle disruptive users?

Yes. Instructors and moderators can mute users with custom duration timers, ban accounts, delete messages, or lock entire chat rooms when necessary.

Are chat rooms automatically restricted to enrolled students?

Yes. Course chat rooms automatically verify LearnPress course enrollment so only enrolled students and course instructors can read and participate.

What are the plugin requirements?

You need WordPress 6.3 or higher, PHP 7.4 or higher, and LearnPress version 4.3.2.7 or higher active on your site.
